Significant Broadcast Announcement: FIFA Club World Cup 2025 Secures £790 Million Television Deal

The UK-HEADQUARTERED streaming powerhouse DAZN has secured the broadcast rights for FIFA’s upcoming Club World Cup.

Finalizing a deal that’s been speculated about for several weeks, the London-based firm has struck a £790m agreement to air all 63 matches of the tournament.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino will be present in Miami to oversee the draw that will determine the fate of the 32 teams, including Chelsea, Manchester City, Jude Bellingham’s Real Madrid, and Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich.

The announcement of the DAZN contract – along with indications that it may lead to substantial investment from Saudi Arabia – further reinforces Infantino’s conviction that the tournament is poised for tremendous success.

In contrast to the World Cup, the new tournament is not categorized as one of the UK’s “listed events” that must be broadcast on free-to-air terrestrial television.

However, the terms of the DAZN agreement will guarantee that all matches will be available free of charge on the streaming platform.

Describing it as a “historic agreement,” FIFA stated that the entire tournament will be “live-streamed and free to view on DAZN globally,” although the organization may allow sub-licensing to traditional broadcasters in various regions.

Infantino remarked: “This agreement ensures that every football enthusiast around the world can witness the top players from the 32 best clubs competing in the new FIFA Club World Cup to become the inaugural official ‘FIFA Club World Champions’.

“The new FIFA Club World Cup is a meritocratic and inclusive tournament that will represent the pinnacle of global club football, captivating the interests of players and fans worldwide.

“Thanks to this broadcasting deal, billions of football aficionados globally can now engage with what is set to be the most accessible club football tournament in history – and FOR FREE.”
