17-Year-Old Darts Pro Luke Littler Nominated for Prestigious Award Amid Predictions of Global Stardom
LUKE LITTLER has received a nomination for the BBC Young Sports Personality of the Year award.
The young athlete has achieved remarkable success this year, climbing rapidly in the world rankings and gaining national recognition.

He is among the top three contenders for the honor, alongside skateboarding Olympic bronze medalist Sky Brown, 16, and Paralympic swimmer William Ellard, 18.
Other nominees include Arsenal prodigy Ethan Nwaneri, along with Mia Brookes (snowboarding), Cat Ferguson (cycling), Phoebe Gill (athletics), Abigail Martin (gymnastics), Bly Twomey (para-table tennis), and Iona Winnifrith (para-swimming).
Littler has experienced a rapid ascent and is thrilled about his nomination.
He stated: “This year has been incredible, and being considered for Young Sports Personality of the Year is the icing on the cake.”
“If I’ve managed to attract more fans to darts, then that’s all that matters to me.”

Littler started the year ranked 164th in the world and has risen to fourth place.
The 17-year-old competed in the World Darts Championship finals and clinched victory in Premier League Darts on his first try.
