Tommy Fury Responds to Jake Paul’s Rematch Proposal, Claims It’s Even Lower Than Their First Fight

TOMMY FURY has responded to Jake Paul’s rematch proposal, claiming the offer is LOWER than what he earned for their initial fight.

Fury is the first and currently the only boxer to defeat YouTuber-turned-prizefighter Paul, securing a split-decision victory in Saudi Arabia in 2023.

This victory came after Fury withdrew from the fight twice—first due to a rib injury in 2021 and later because of US visa issues.

Since then, discussions about a rematch have persisted, with Paul recently stating that the “ship has sailed.”

However, just one day later, he made a significant reversal, offering Fury $3 million (£2.3 million) for the rematch, or $4 million (£3 million) if it were to take place in the US.

Fury responded sharply: “Why would I accept that when it’s less than I earned for our first fight AND I beat you? You’re living in a fantasy.”

“You claim to be a savvy businessman; if you truly want to negotiate, I’m ready. But don’t throw me lowball offers that you know I’ll reject. It’s clear you are using the money as an excuse to avoid this rematch.”

“You boast about making $50 million from fights, yet you won’t pay up for the only genuine fight left for you. This reveals your true character, my friend. Keep running scared. I’ll see you very soon…”

This follows Paul’s statement: “I’m offering Tommy Fury $3 million to fight me in 2025. If he can legally make it to the US, the offer goes up to $4 million. Let’s see who’s dodging whom.”

Jake Paul reveals talks for Tommy Fury rematch and criticizes Canelo Alvarez over failed fight

Fury initially took to Instagram in a rare video to criticize Paul for recently calling out Anthony Joshua.

Paul, after announcing four new female signings to his Most Valuable Promotions, fired back at Fury.

He posted: “Tommy Fumbles Fury…the ship has sailed, mate. I’m focused on building the sport; you seem only interested in collecting a paycheck and hitting the pub.”

“No judgment—our priorities just differ.”

Fury, 25, then responded: “No problem at all, mate. I hope that defeat doesn’t haunt you too much. Just remember, you weren’t brave enough to try and redeem yourself. You’re right; we are different—I’m a winner and you’re a loser.”

Paul, 28, came back with: “You turned down $6 million plus bonuses to headline on Netflix against me.”

“Your manager and you could be the two least intelligent individuals the UK has ever produced. Plus, you can’t travel to the US, you w****r…sooooo.”

“The ship has sailed unless you accept $3 million, and we can run it in 2025. Let us know.”

“You literally have NO other chance other than fighting me or the other jumpy pullout artist.”

Paul last fought Mike Tyson, 58, in November, a match filled with controversy due to their significant age difference.

Tyson was offered the scrutinized comeback match after Fury declined to rematch Paul on the streaming platform.

Over 100 MILLION were anticipated to watch Paul’s match on Netflix, which led to discussions for a showdown with Canelo Alvarez in May in Las Vegas.

However, Canelo backed out to sign a four-fight deal with Turki Alalshikh of Saudi Arabia.

As Paul seeks his next opponent, he targeted two-time heavyweight champion Joshua, 35, on his podcast.

Paul stated: “I want to fight Anthony Joshua – exclusive – because I know I will easily defeat him.”

“He lacks a chin, has no skill, and is stiff. I have much respect for Anthony; we’re friends, but I still want to face you.”

Fury responded sharply: “I just wanted to share my thoughts on everything I’ve been seeing online lately.”

“Jake Paul versus Anthony Joshua – just a reminder that this guy couldn’t even defeat me when I fought with essentially one hand.”

“I fought with one hand and still came out on top. Jake Paul, I’m still your daddy, and anyone considering this fight should realize he isn’t worth a dime.”

“And that loss will always haunt you, Mr. Paul. Take it easy and enjoy your day.”

Fury’s most recent performance saw him win against KSI, 31, via a contentious decision in October 2023, though he hasn’t fought since undergoing surgery.

He was scheduled to fight Darren Till in January but withdrew after Till threatened to KICK him in the head.
