The McLaren driver was awarded the shining RAC trophy, along with a unique trophy crafted from Lego bricks, on the podium.
While carrying the RAC trophy around the paddock, Norris encountered an injury when a photographer accidentally fell into him after a fence collapsed.
Video shared by Sky Sports F1 captured the moment as the Brit approached the wall, trophy in hand, toward the crowd of fans.
As one of the McLaren team members climbed a fence alongside a photographer, the structure gave way, resulting in the photographer tumbling back into Norris.
Caught off guard by the falling photographer, he appeared to collide with a camera lens as he turned to react.
Norris was later seen holding his face with his hands while the photographer expressed apologies for the unintended mishap.
Footage from Dazn showed the driver being led back to his pit garage, his hands still covering his face.
McLaren confirmed to SunSport that Norris has a minor cut on his nose, but overall he is doing well.
Emotionally overwhelmed, Norris shed tears after securing victory in his home race, finishing ahead of teammate Oscar Piastri and Sauber’s Nico Hulkenberg, who celebrated his first-ever podium in 239 F1 races.
During his post-race interview on Sky Sports, Norris forgot to censor his language, prompting Jenson Button to apologize on his behalf after Norris expressed, “I was just trying not to f*** it up” in reference to his thoughts during the final laps.
