Man Utd Engaged in Talks to Acquire 23-Year-Old Goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Belgian Club as Andre Onana’s Successor
MANCHESTER UNITED is reportedly negotiating to acquire young Belgian goalkeeper Senne Lammens from Antwerp.
Manager Ruben Amorim has been seeking a successor for Andre Onana prior to the Cameroonian goalkeeper sustaining a hamstring injury during pre-season.

Onana has been excluded from the tour of the USA and could miss the initial stages of the 2025/26 Premier League season – which kicks off against Arsenal on August 17.
The Red Devils are reportedly discussing a £17million agreement for Lammens, as noted by journalist Ben Jacobs.
United first expressed interest in Lammens, 23, in January, sending scouts to observe his performances.
Considered one of Europe’s top emerging goalkeepers, Lammens delivered an outstanding performance as Antwerp’s No.1 last season.
He concluded the season with an impressive 173 saves, averaging 4.3 saves per match and achieving a commendable 78 percent save rate.
With 41 appearances and 10 clean sheets, he is under contract until 2027.
The Belgian Under-21 international transferred from Club Brugge in 2023 and has drawn interest from newly-promoted teams Leeds and Sunderland.

Antwerp has already acquired another goalkeeper, Taishi Brandon Nozawa, indicating they are preparing for Lammens’ departure.
He even scored for Club Brugge against Real Madrid in a UEFA Youth League group match during the 2019/20 season.
A header from a corner secured a 2-2 draw, propelling his team into the knockout round playoffs.
Amorim is tasked with refreshing his goalkeeping lineup amidst uncertainty surrounding the futures of Onana and the unreliable No.2, Altay Bayindir.
Following a tumultuous last season, improvements were expected from the start for Amorim, yet United has struggled to rejuvenate their squad during the summer transfer window.
However, the fortunes of the 40-year-old manager are set to improve as the club has finally reached a £65million agreement with Brentford for winger Bryan Mbeumo.
Mbeumo, along with potentially Lammens, will join fellow new signings Matheus Cunha and full-back Diego Leon.
United is set to face local rivals Leeds at the Friends Arena in Sweden on Saturday at 2 pm.
The five-player “Bomb Squad” of Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrrell Malacia remain excluded from the tour.
