Saudi Chiefs Eye Record £302M Transfer for Vinicius Jr, Offering Real Madrid Star £475k Daily

According to reports, SAUDI PRO LEAGUE officials are contemplating a groundbreaking bid to acquire Real Madrid’s star player Vinicius Jr.

The 25-year-old winger is a prime target for the leadership in the Middle East, especially given the ongoing delays in contract discussions with Madrid.

The Brazilian winger is regarded as one of the top talents in global football, and reports suggest that Saudi negotiators are eager to attract him to the league during his prime years.

It is said that officials are ready to propose an offer to Real Madrid worth around £302MILLION to persuade them to release Vinicius Jr.

If successful, this would shatter the existing transfer record of £200 million, previously set by Paris Saint-Germain for Neymar in 2017.

This offer also surpasses Al-Hilal’s unsuccessful £257 million bid for Kylian Mbappe from PSG in 2023.

Saudi executives are reportedly motivated by the absence of a formal announcement regarding a new contract for Vinicius Jr at Santiago Bernabeu.

Negotiations for a new deal have been ongoing, with his current contract set to expire in the summer of 2027.

Saudi authorities are taking a patient approach, aiming to secure Vinicius Jr within the next three years, regardless of whether he signs a new contract with Madrid.

Al Ahli is viewed as a potential club for him if a move to Saudi Arabia materializes, with the Public Investment Fund [PIF] and the Saudi Ministry of Sport believing they deserve the next big star.

Vinicius Jr has openly expressed his wish to remain at Real Madrid, but he may be tempted by the reportedly enormous contract being offered from Saudi Arabia.

The former Flamengo ace is said to have received a non-binding written offer for a five-year deal worth £866MILLION, including bonuses.

This staggering sum could position Vinicius Jr among the highest earners in the world of football, raking in approximately £475,000-per-day and £3.3MILLION-per-week.

For context, the highest-paid player in the Premier League, Erling Haaland, earns more than five times less on his £525,000-per-week salary at Man City.

Essentially, Vinicius would be netting £19,829 every hour and £330 every minute.

Last season, Vinicius netted 22 goals and assisted 19 times in 58 matches for Real Madrid.

He was named runner-up in the 2024 Ballon d’Or, finishing behind Man City’s Rodri.

Saudi authorities are said to be eager to entice Vinicius to join by the 2027/28 season at the latest, aiming to secure him in his prime rather than at the end of his career.

The Saudi Pro League has previously attracted numerous top talents as it pursues ambitions to become a major global player.

Notable names like Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Ivan Toney, and Sadio Mane are just a few of the stars who have recently made the move.
