Who are Alexander Isak’s parents?
Born on September 21, 1999, in Solna, Sweden, Alexander Isak hails from a family with roots in Eritrea.
He has siblings, including his sister Semhar and brother Sened.
Though Alexander represents Sweden on the football field, his parents emigrated from Eritrea during the 1980s amid the violent civil conflict for the nation’s liberation.

Recently, Isak returned to Eritrea for the first time since his rise to football fame, after receiving an invitation from Ambassador Zemede Tekle. During his visit, he participated in a grassroots initiative in Asmara and enjoyed a match featuring local players.
Where did Alexander Isak grow up?
Isak’s formative years were spent in Solna, where he began training with local club AIK at the young age of six.
Under the guidance of coach Nahom Ghidey, also of Eritrean descent, Alexander’s football skills developed. He made his debut with AIK at just 16 in a Swedish Cup match.
At 17, he left his childhood home in Sweden, transferring to Borussia Dortmund for approximately £8 million.

Following his time at Dortmund, Isak excelled while on loan at Willem II and then scored 33 goals in 105 appearances for Real Sociedad before eventually joining Newcastle United.
