School rugby match ends in fight involving adult, kids

In a shocking video that has come to light, a mass brawl can be seen breaking out allegedly at the conclusion of a first team school rugby match at the popular Graeme Festival this past weekend.

Several players are seen involved in the brawl at the end of what was said to be a game between Kingswood College and Marlow.

As one player is pulled away, an adult can then be seen approaching the schoolboy and attempting to throw a punch.

The video on social media drew a widespread reaction, with former Namibian international Jacques Burger commenting: “Embarrassing!”

Contact from TheSouthAfrican.com has been made with both schools to request comment on the ugly incident.

One Facebook user commented on the altercation on the Kingswood College page, stating: “The scenes after the game weren’t nice to see or acceptable. They need to be dealt with in the appropriate way by the respective heads and coaches. It’s really disappointing to see adults making ridiculous claims and comments on a school’s social media page to gain points amongst their friends.

“To those who have objections to our rugby program, ethos or culture feel to engage with our school management. However, to belittle, critise and berate our pupils on a public platform, that pupils have access to, I can’t stand for. Frankly, it’s hypocritical to critise our players for bad behavior when we as adults should be modeling it.”
