Jamie Carragher Jokes with Mo Salah: “I’ll See You in the Car Park,” While Playfully Teasing Roy Keane on Sky Sports
JAMIE CARRAGHER poked fun at Roy Keane, jesting for Mo Salah to meet him in the car park following Liverpool’s victory over Manchester City.
Salah delivered a goal and an assist, leading to the champions’ sixth loss in seven matches.
Following the match, he spoke to Sky Sports where he received the Man of the Match award.
Salah inquired who deemed him worthy of the accolade, and he learned it was Gary Neville who made the selection.
He jokingly suggested that Carragher would not have nominated him, referencing the pundit’s previous comments where he called Salah “selfish” in a recent interview.
Carragher reacted to Salah’s remark by saying, “I’ll see him in the car park.”
This comment elicited laughter from his colleagues, while Keane could be seen smirking.
Just last week, Keane found himself in a heated exchange with an Ipswich fan at Portman Road, where he confronted the fan directly.
The former Ipswich manager warned the supporter, “I’ll wait for you in the car park,” as they engaged in a face-off.
Salah, 32, responded to Carragher’s comment after Virgil van Dijk remarked, “I’m amazed Carragher wouldn’t give it to you.”

A smiling Salah replied: “Ah no, he [Carragher] wouldn’t give it to me. Never. He wouldn’t! I don’t want to talk about this!”
Carragher also responded on X, stating: “I would’ve given it to Van Dijk to be fair!”
Salah’s remarks came after Carragher criticized him for stating he was “more out than in” due to not being offered a new contract by Liverpool.
Carragher commented on Monday Night Football: “Of course, there’s been discussions. Right now, there’s obviously a big difference in valuation, how Salah and his agent value themselves, in terms of length of contract, and how Liverpool do.
“The reason Liverpool wouldn’t have offered a contract yet is because Mo Salah would turn it down.
“They’re still in talks, and I’m eager for them to find common ground.
“However, I must say, I am very disappointed with Mo Salah. That interview last night…
“Liverpool have Real Madrid coming up midweek and Manchester City next weekend. That’s the priority for Liverpool right now.
“And concerning Mo Salah, we’re informed—particularly by local reporters around the club—that in seven years, he has only stopped in the mixed zone twice.
“That’s entirely acceptable.
“But he chooses to stop for the third time following a victory away at Southampton and issue those comments.
“If he keeps making comments or if his agent continues with cryptic tweets, that is selfish.
“That concerns their interests rather than those of the football club.”
