Dream Team managers might temporarily overlook Newcastle’s left-back due to his absence since February.

Hall endured a serious foot injury that prompted surgery just before the Magpies’ Carabao Cup final win over Liverpool.

As a result, the 20-year-old missed the remainder of the season; however, he is anticipated to be fit for the Toon’s season opener at Villa Park on August 16th.

When finalizing their XI for Gameweek 1, Dream Team managers should take Hall’s pre-injury performances into account.

He had an average of 5.6 points-per-game in 2024/25, a statistic surpassed by only three defenders, one being Trent Alexander-Arnold, who, unfortunately, is no longer in Dream Team after his move to Real Madrid.

Hall tallied seven assists across competitions, placing him joint-fifth among players in his position.

It begs the question: where might he have ranked had he not missed a third of the season?

With 12 clean sheets and a solid return of 25 bonus points, it’s no surprise that Hall quickly accumulated 189 points.

A prevalent opinion among St James’ Park supporters is that Hall is destined to represent England at the World Cup next summer, given his pre-injury form.

Dream Team managers were enthusiastic in their support for the former Chelsea defender last season.

A standout streak of 55 points over five games during the festive season saw him become one of the most selected players in his role.

It will be intriguing to see Hall’s ownership percentages come Gameweek 1, especially since Eddie Howe’s squad faces two challenging matches against Aston Villa (a) and Liverpool (h) to kick off their campaign.

Managers interested in Hall might want to wait until Gameweek 3, when Newcastle visits Elland Road to face newly-promoted Leeds, followed by league fixtures against Wolves and Bournemouth.

Additionally, Newcastle will commence their Champions League journey in September.

Hall and his teammates did not have European obligations in 2024/25, and while tougher competition awaits, a packed schedule could yield additional points.

As of this writing, Hall appears in only 0.3% of teams.
