McGregor, 37, has been working on the Thai pads during his recent time in Italy and has recently started sparring.
Clips of the former two-division champion exchanging powerful blows with two younger sparring partners began circulating on social media last weekend.
McGregor was not holding back with his training partners, delivering some forceful shots.
The Dubliner’s evident reluctance to take it easy on the younger fighters upset several MMA fans, with one commenting on X: “Hmmm. Not a great look for McGregor.”
Another remarked: “Still an embarrassing display. He is a shadow of his former self.”
Yet another said: “Bullying young fighters.”
One added: “Embarrassing, to be honest.”
Another noted: “McGregor taking on 12-year-old kids – what a downfall.”

However, numerous fight enthusiasts felt McGregor was providing these young fighters with crucial experience, with one stating: “He’s doing them a favor.”
Another added: “He’s a great mentor because nobody will go easy on them in the octagon.”
And another commented: “Great training opportunity!”
McGregor has not fought since suffering a broken leg in his trilogy match against Dustin Poirier over four years ago.
His planned return to the cage last June against Michael Chandler fell through after he broke his left pinky toe.
McGregor recently took a significant step towards his return by rejoining the UFC’s drug testing pool.

He submitted random samples to drug testers earlier this month, both of which returned negative for any banned substances.
If McGregor fights again, it will be his first bout since being found civilly liable for assaulting Nikita Hand at a Dublin hotel in December 2018.
McGregor appealed the findings from Dublin‘s High Court but was unsuccessful in July.
