He has a solid track record on these unique courses and was victorious at Chester two races ago over this distance on fast ground. Like at the Roodee, Catterick features a lot of turns throughout the race, making it a favorable setting for him. Trainer Jennie Candlish is in good form and aims to add to her list of victories.
BOLLIN NEIL (3.45 Catterick, nb)
He came very close over two miles here last time out. Returning for Tim Easterby off a low handicap mark, he should appreciate this slight distance reduction. With five wins at Catterick on the Flat and over jumps, he clearly enjoys the venue and is likely to be competitive again.
BASHFUL BOY (4.00 Musselburgh, treble)
He drops significantly in class after finishing fourth at Goodwood last time, and he has an experienced 5lb claimer aboard. With a reduction in his weight, he should perform well.
GRIZEDALE (6.07 Kempton, Lucky 15)
He fought hard to win here three weeks ago, and Oisin Murphy remains in the saddle.
