The report indicates that the former Chelsea manager is willing to forfeit his last year’s salary and any severance package, estimated at around £15 million, to depart amicably.

Conte famously led Chelsea to the Premier League title in 2017, marking the last time the Blues were crowned champions of England.

The Italian has solidified his reputation in Serie A after leading Napoli to the league title, adding another major accolade to his impressive managerial profile.

Speculation regarding Conte’s future surged immediately after Italy failed to qualify for the World Cup, with many fans and pundits seeing him as the ideal candidate to rejuvenate the national team.

While there are no indications that he is transitioning to another club, the report reveals that the Italy position is highly enticing for him, although he might opt for a brief break from management.

Journalist Guillaume Pacini stated: “Antonio Conte and Napoli, it’s over.

The coach has made the decision to leave at the end of this season; he will forgo his final year’s salary and any severance compensation.”

He is the second prominent manager expected to resign from his position this summer after Pep Guardiola.
